Sr. Data Governance Engineer

Overview: Optomi, in partnership with a leading consulting company, is seeking a Sr. Data Governance Engineer to join their team! You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) solutions focused on Person/Entity matching. This role ensures high quality master data through business rule implementation, data quality validation, and Golden Record creation. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to meet data governance, integration, and reporting needs through Informatica tools. Qualifications: • Strong understanding of MDM Person Data Models, entity matching, hierarchy management, and Golden Record creation. • Experience configuring match/merge rules, trust/survivorship rules, and data quality transformations. • Proficiency in SQL, ETL, and data integration concepts. • Hands on experience with Informatica Developer, Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), and Informatica Metadata Manager. • Knowledge of reporting and dashboard development within Informatica or BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau). • Familiarity with data governance, data stewardship, and data lineage practices. (DMBOK-aligned) • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Responsibilities: • Configure Informatica MDM to support People Matching business requirements and entity resolution processes. • Implement and customize the MDM Person Business Entity Data Model, including attributes, hierarchies, and relationships. • Develop and maintain People Matching business rules and data quality rules to ensure accurate, deduplicated, and standardized data. • Design and generate the Golden Record within Informatica MDM using match/merge, survivorship, and trust rules. • Integrate data from multiple sources into the MDM hub, ensuring data consistency and quality. • Build reports and dashboards within Informatica or integrated reporting platforms to monitor match results, data quality metrics, and system performance. • Collaborate with data architects, data stewards, and business analysts to align data model and rule configurations with enterprise data strategy. • Support testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of MDM processes. • Document technical configurations, mappings, and business rules in compliance with data governance standards.
