About The Opportunity
Our client, a leader in Healthcare, is looking for a skilled Sr. Data Scientist to join their team for a 7 months engagement. This project involves developing and deploying high performing embedded computer vision algorithms for a Machine Intelligence R&D team. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
β’ Develop and deploy embedded computer vision algorithms for veterinary diagnostic platforms using a combination of deep learning and classic computer vision methods.
β’ Utilize strong software engineering skills to develop scalable, maintainable, and efficient code for computer vision applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
β’ Work with embedded systems and NVIDIA GPUs to optimize and deploy algorithms for real-time processing and inference.
β’ Collaborate with engineering teams, clinical experts, and business stakeholders.
β’ Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from requirements development to model deployment on embedded hardware.
Required Skills & Experience:
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
β’ [5+] years of experience in a similar role.
β’ Deep expertise in Python programming and computer vision algorithm development, including machine learning, deep learning, and classic computer vision methods. This isn't a learning roleβyou need to be a subject matter expert.
β’ Strong software engineering skills, including experience with testing and optimizing routines for performance, and delivering software in a production environment.
β’ Experience with imaging and embedded algorithm deployment and optimization for NVIDIA GPUs.
β’ Proficiency in AWS services for data processing, storage, and deployment, and experience using deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
β’ Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
β’ Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
β’ Familiarity with microscopy, digital cytology, or digital pathology is desirable.
W2 only (No C2C or 1099 contractors)
