POSITION Sr. DevOps Engineer - GCP LOCATION Remote w/ potential for quarterly travel to Chicago TYPE Full-Time W2 Only - No C2C - USC/GC only About the Role This is a high-impact opportunity to architect and deploy resilient, scalable DevOps solutions in a mission-critical environment while guiding a growing team and influencing best practices organization-wide. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Advanced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Architecture Design β€’ Kubernetes and Container Orchestration β€’ Build highly reusable and modular Terraform modules for multi-environment infrastructure deployments. β€’ Develop secure and automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Spinnaker. β€’ Design and enforce robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies using Workload Identity Federation, OIDC, and RBAC on GCP and GDCC. β€’ Integrate and manage GCP-native services such as Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Secret Manager, and Pub/Sub. β€’ Leverage Anthos and GKE Enterprise for managing Kubernetes workloads across distributed environments. β€’ Drive infrastructure observability and logging using Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Operations Suite. β€’ Collaborate with application, security, and DevOps teams to ensure compliance with cloud security and regulatory standards. β€’ Monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and scalability Required Qualifications: β€’ 7+ years in infrastructure architecture, DevOps, or cloud engineering roles. β€’ Deep, hands-on expertise with Terraform (advanced level), including reusable modules, remote state, and workspaces. β€’ Advanced knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architectural patterns. β€’ Proficient in Python scripting for infrastructure automation and integration. β€’ Proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Git-based workflow β€’ Deep, hands-on expertise with Kubernetes or GKE. Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Experience with GDCC (Google Distributed Cloud) and Google Edge. β€’ Strong understanding of Cloud IAM, RBAC, and Workload Identity Federation for secure authentication across services. β€’ Solid background in cloud security, including encryption, firewall policies, VPC design, and service accounts.
