Job Title: Sr. Director, Evidence Generation Location: Remote Job Type: Contract – 20+ hours We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Director, Evidence Generation to join our team. This individual contributor role will focus on leading the design, execution, and management of epidemiological database studies using diverse data sources such as real-world claims data, electronic health records, and other relevant datasets. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive expertise in epidemiology, statistical analysis, and database management, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel and statistical software, to generate high-quality evidence supporting our company’s strategic goals. This position does not involve managing a team but requires independent leadership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and oversight of external vendors to deliver scientifically robust and statistically sound outcomes, including publications. Key Responsibilities β€’ Study Design and Execution: Design and execute epidemiological database studies, including real-world and observational evidence studies, utilizing real-world claims data, electronic health records, and other sources through both retrospective and primary data collection methods, emphasizing statistical modeling. β€’ Data Management and Analysis: Lead the development and management of complex datasets using Microsoft Excel and statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Stata) to ensure accurate and reproducible analyses. β€’ Deliverable Development: Create scientifically accurate and strategically aligned deliverables, including research protocols, statistical analysis plans, and study reports that are publication-ready. β€’ Project Management: Design, lead the execution of, and manage multiple database-focused projects end-to-end, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards. β€’ Vendor Oversight: Oversee external vendors, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of their contributions to database and statistical analyses. β€’ Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align evidence generation efforts with the company’s broader strategic objectives. β€’ Dissemination of Findings: Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and other scientific forums. Qualifications β€’ Education: Master’s degree or PhD in public health, epidemiology, outcomes research, health economics, or a relevant scientific field. β€’ Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in epidemiological database studies, with a focus on statistical analysis and data management. β€’ Technical Expertise: Extensive expertise in conducting real-world and observational evidence studies using both retrospective data (e.g., claims, electronic health records) and primary data collection methods, with hands-on experience in managing and analyzing epidemiological datasets using Microsoft Excel and statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Stata). β€’ Statistical Proficiency: Strong statistical background with expertise in designing and conducting complex statistical analyses, including regression modeling, survival analysis, and propensity score methods. β€’ Project Leadership: Proven ability to design, lead the execution of, and manage multiple research projects end-to-end, including vendor oversight, ensuring scientifically accurate and strategically aligned deliverables (e.g., research protocols, study reports) leading to publications. β€’ Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical capabilities with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and statistical software to analyze and interpret complex epidemiological datasets. β€’ Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present statistical findings effectively to diverse stakeholders, including scientific and non-scientific audiences. β€’ A strong track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals with a focus on statistical or epidemiological research.
