Role description
Role: Sr. Developer - .NET / AWS / MongoDB
β’ Duration: ~12 months
β’ Location: 100% Remote (Must work ET, CT, or MT hours)
β’ Visa Status: W-2 (This is a contract employee position, not a 1099 or C2C role)
Assignment Details
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
You will be working in an Agile environment, likely using a Scrum or Kanban framework, as indicated by the use of "story cards" and a "point system." Your daily tasks will include:
β’ Working on assigned story cards from the backlog.
β’ Writing technical documentation and design documents.
β’ Coding new features and services.
β’ Performing system and unit testing.
β’ Presenting your work and syncing on requirements with the Product Owner.
Required Skills & Technologies
This role requires a well-rounded developer with proven experience in the following areas:
1. Core Backend & API Development:
β’ C# / .NET: Strong proficiency is required.
β’ ASP.NET/MVC: For building web applications and APIs.
β’ APIs and Microservices: Experience designing, building, and maintaining microservices.
1. Cloud & Infrastructure (AWS):
β’ Strong AWS experience is a must.
β’ Key Services: Lambda (serverless functions), SQS (messaging queue), SNS (notification service), S3 (object storage).
β’ Terraform: For Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage and provision cloud resources.
1. Database:
β’ MongoDB: Hands-on experience is critical. You need to be proficient with:
β’ MongoDB Compass (GUI)
β’ MongoDB Atlas (cloud-managed service)
β’ MQL (MongoDB Query Language)
β’ Aggregation Pipelines (for complex data processing)
1. DevOps & Tools:
β’ CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with setting up and maintaining continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
β’ Azure DevOps: Used for project tracking, repositories, and pipelines.
