Job Title: Sr Healthcare Data Analysis Consultant Location: Columbia, Maryland Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $78 per hour Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote Responsibilities β€’ Lead the creation of advanced analytical tools to support decision-making within the organization, focusing on healthcare billing and provider data. β€’ Support enterprise Stars and Risk Adjustment strategies through collaboration with analysts, policy makers, and strategy leaders to identify trends and opportunities in Medicare and Medicaid. β€’ Develop and maintain scheduled and ad hoc reports for Risk Adjustment and Quality, ensuring timely delivery amidst shifting priorities. β€’ Identify key drivers affecting Risk Adjustment and Stars programs, evaluate effectiveness, and recommend improvements based on sophisticated analytics. β€’ Create and update visualizations to support business divisions at all levels, leveraging tools such as Power BI and Tableau. β€’ Monitor application performance and work with clients and data stewards to implement enhancements and ensure compliance with government program directives. β€’ Work with external vendors and governmental agencies as needed, ensuring all reporting is aligned with current healthcare policies and requirements. Requirements β€’ 10 years of experience in data science methodologies, data analysis, modeling, and reporting. β€’ Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field; Master’s or PhD preferred. β€’ Previous provider data experience working with leadership on data issues, accuracy, and claims platforms. β€’ Proficiency with R, SQL, SAS, Python, or similar stack for programming and data transformation. β€’ Knowledge of Salesforce and FACETS required. β€’ Demonstrable experience with reporting to leadership and working remotely with teams. β€’ Expertise in healthcare data and systems, including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid. β€’ Advanced skills in creating visualizations and working with relational databases, star schemas, and time-series data. β€’ Proficiency with visualization tools such as Power BI Service and Tableau. β€’ Experience working with unstructured data like social determinants of health and electronic medical records. β€’ Preferred qualifications include experience with Azure Cloud, Agile development, and large data sets with distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop).
