Please find the position details below: Job Title: Sr. KDB+ Developer Location: Jersey City, NJ or Westlake, TX or Boston MA or Merrimack NH or Smithfield RI (Hybrid – 2 weeks onsite, 2 weeks remote) Duration: Long term Contract with possibility of Conversion INTERVIEW PROCESS: 1 round with manager and tech panel (behavioral/technical) Client is looking for a strong KDB+ engineer with Linux + Python/Java experience who can build scalable data applications for financial regulatory reporting. The client is mainly looking for a Senior KDB+ Developer who can: • Work with KDB+ / q language to manage large time-series datasets. • Develop applications using Python and Java. • Work in Linux environments (bash scripting). • Handle high-volume financial data processing. • Support deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and DevOps tools. • Work in Agile teams and collaborate with regulatory and brokerage technology teams. (Nice to have) Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, React/Angular. Project Summary: The project is part of regulatory reporting technology. The team builds and maintains brokerage regulatory reporting applications that process and analyze large volumes of financial trading data across multiple asset classes. The system ensures that brokerage activities comply with strict financial regulations by generating accurate regulatory reports. The platform relies heavily on KDB+ time-series databases, Linux environments, and microservice-based architectures to handle high-frequency, high-volume market and transaction data.
