Role description
Job Title: Sr. KDB+ Developer - 178793 Location: Jersey City, NJ or Westlake TX or Boston MA or Merrimack NH or Smithfield RI (Hybrid – 2 weeks onsite, 2 weeks remote) Duration: Long term Contract with possibility of extension or Conversion Interview: 2 rounds - 1 round with manager and tech panel (behavioral/technical) Project Focus: β€’ You’ll develop and maintain brokerage applications with heavy regulatory oversight. β€’ These applications must generate accurate reports across multiple asset classes to meet strict regulatory requirements. Core Technical Skills (Must-Haves) β€’ Deep, hands-on experience with KDB+ (a high-performance time-series database) β€’ Proficient with Linux, Python, and Java β€’ Familiarity with Control-M for job scheduling β€’ Ability to manage large, high-volume data sets Additional Technical and Team Skills β€’ Experience across KDB, Java, and Python (10+ years) β€’ Solid Linux/Bash skills β€’ Knowledge of event streaming tech, such as Apache Kafka β€’ UI skills: Angular or React (5+ years) β€’ Working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases β€’ Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools: Kubernetes, Maven, Jenkins, Stash/Bitbucket, Ansible, Docker β€’ Experience with Artifactory, API registries (e.g., Apigee), and uDeploy for automated deployments β€’ Background in RESTful microservices β€’ Agile methodologies: Scrum and Kanban environment experience
