Sr. Marketing Advanced Analytics Data Engineer & Tableau Remote in PST, MST Start Date- 11/03/2025 - 11/02/2026 Client is seeking a Data Engineer with strong Tableau expertise to design, build, and optimize scalable, auditable data pipelines and deliver reliable data products. This role will support advanced analytics and business decision-making through high-quality data integration, validation, and visualization. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain scalable and auditable data pipelines using Databricks (Spark/Scala/Python/SQL) and Snowflake. • Own the data validation lifecycle including source-to-target reconciliation, data profiling, and anomaly detection. • Conduct deep-dive data mining to uncover patterns, inconsistencies, and actionable business opportunities. • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to ensure transparency and support decision-making. • Implement data quality checks and automated alerting for pipeline failures, anomalies, and audit flags. • Collaborate with analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reliable data products. • Optimize existing pipelines for performance, scalability, and operational efficiency. • Document data lineage, pipeline logic, and metadata clearly and consistently. Required Skills • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines with Databricks (Spark/Scala/Python/SQL) and Snowflake. • Strong SQL development skills for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning. • Proven ability in data reconciliation, auditing, and anomaly detection across large datasets. • Experience troubleshooting Spark performance issues. • Expertise in Snowflake data loading and update patterns. • Proficiency in Tableau dashboard development, including parameters, performance optimization, and data-driven visualizations. • Solid understanding of the data validation lifecycle. Preferred Skills • Familiarity with advanced data profiling, anomaly detection techniques, and predictive modeling. • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable data solutions. • Knowledge of data lineage documentation, pipeline logic, and metadata management practices. • Strong communication skills to present technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively. Additional Candidate Prioritization Notes- • Candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark/Scala/PySpark), Snowflake, SQL performance tuning, and Tableau dashboard integration. • Preference for profiles with ETL pipeline ownership at scale, not limited to reporting or KPI dashboards. • Must show 2+ years in a recent role, indicating stability and long-term impact. • Profiles focused solely on BI/reporting (e.g., Tableau without engineering), or lacking core tools (Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks) are not suitable. • Frequent short-term contracts (6 12 months) without evidence of sustained pipeline ownership are discouraged. • Platform engineers without analytics or marketing context, and ML/AI researchers not focused on data engineering for analytics, are not a match.
