Role description
Our client, a large entertainment company, is looking for a Senior Marketing Analyst for a 1-year remote contract. This person will play a critical role in transforming marketing data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and optimize campaign performance. This position requires a strong blend of analytical expertise, technical proficiency, and marketing acumen. The ideal candidate will be experienced in building causal inference and propensity models to understand and predict customer behavior, as well as skilled in developing Python scripts for data manipulation, automation, and advanced analytics. The role involves working cross-functionally with marketing, data science, and business teams to design experiments, analyze test/control results, and translate findings into strategic recommendations. Experience with big data tools such as Databricks and Snowflake, along with proficiency in Tableau for visualization, is essential. Prior exposure to marketing campaign lifecycles, segmentation, and performance analytics will be highly valuable.

Responsibilities
• Analyze marketing campaign performance and provide actionable insights to improve targeting, messaging, and ROI.
• Design and implement causal inference and propensity models to predict customer behavior and optimize marketing strategies.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets across multiple systems.
• Write and optimize Python scripts for automation, data manipulation, and advanced statistical analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define test/control groups, ensure sound experimental design, and interpret outcomes.
• Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and data visualizations to communicate performance insights effectively to business stakeholders.
• Utilize Databricks and Snowflake for scalable data processing and analysis.
• Partner with marketing teams to monitor campaign execution, assess effectiveness, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Contribute to the evolution of marketing analytics best practices, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and scalability.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data science, or a similar analytical role.
• Proven ability to build and interpret causal inference and propensity models.
• Strong SQL skills with experience writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and statistical modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Snowflake for data processing and warehousing.
• Skilled in Tableau for dashboard creation and data visualization.
• Solid understanding of experimental design, A/B testing, and marketing measurement frameworks.
• Experience working with marketing campaign processes, customer segmentation, and CRM data.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into clear business insights.
