One of The Sage Groupβs top clients is looking for a Sr Marketing Analytics Manager, strong with SQL, Adobe Analytics, web detection for paid media campaigns and excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and escalation management. The client is a leader in data analytics, creative cloud apps and services and mobile and desktop creative apps.

The Opportunity:
β’ This role requires a blend of business acumen and technical chops to provide a sound roadmap for sourcing, designing, and deploying foundational data objects required by Growth Marketing & Insights (GMI) to build and expand its B2B-focused data products and advanced models.
β’ This position will specifically be focused on expanding GMIβs analytics products which will enable B2B Digital Media (DME) Marketing teams to better perform advanced audience segmentation, targeting, and measurement.
β’ The business solutions analyst drives the analysis, design, and delivery of major data products. This is a critical partnership role that requires working closely with business owners across the B2B functions to understand business challenges and design solutions that enable business analysis and operations.
β’ The analyst will take the lead in defining and driving the capabilities that a data solution must perform in support of the business needs from operational functions areas such as demand/lead generation, campaign management and opportunity creation.
β’ To be successful in this role, you must be proficient with data technology and should have hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools.
What You Will Do:
β’ Partner with key business stakeholders to understand both strategic goals and short-term objectives
β’ Work with various operational, engineering, analyst, and architecture teams to ensure your proposed solutions support both stated use cases as well as are designed to handle the unknown with minimal impact.
β’ Translate detailed functional designs into Jira user stories with clear acceptance criteria agreed upon by all teams.
β’ Keep stakeholders and interested parties up to date with scope and progress; own and publish public documentation (Wiki)
β’ Work with engineering to ensure deliverables are on track and meet business needs
What You Need to Succeed:
β’ Proficiency Adobe Analytics (a must) and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) (a plus) for Web detection, User behavior and Web Analytics
β’ 8+ years marketing analytics and strong with SQL to convert requirements into SQL queries, validating data, and sharing results.
β’ Understanding of key metrics: Visits, Page visits, Sessions, hits etc.
β’ Funnel analysis and user journey mapping
β’ Knowledge of paid media platforms: Display Ads, Social Ads, Search Ads
β’ Knowledge of search engine marketing (SEM) metrics (CTR, CPC)
β’ Ability to lead by influence and impact business decisions/processes through effective networking
β’ Strong understanding of B2B sales and marketing processes for large, complex organizations
β’ Minimum of 8 years as a hands-on analyst in an enterprise setting focused on leveraging SQL, Salesforce, Marketo, Dynamics and similar tools.
β’ Skilled at conflict resolution and negotiation to build consensus
β’ Strong understanding of both logical data architecture and cloud data solutions
β’ Ability to work with ambiguous requirements with little or no guidance; multi-task
β’ Ability to work effectively in a distributed office/remote environment
β’ Experience in working Agile/Scrum/Epic/Story/Sprint environment
β’ Consulting experience a plus; excellent communication skills and critical thinking abilities
β’ In-depth knowledge of web infrastructure and web user detection design
β’ Ability to work with third-party vendor data from sources like Demand Base, DnB, Bombora, and ZoomInfo for web detection, contact, and account identification.
β’ Experience in B2B account identification.
β’ Ability to lead by influence and impact business decisions and processes through effective networking.
Duration: 1 year to start, long term potential as a multiyear intention
Location: San Jose CA hybrid 2x week
