Senior Oracle Business Analyst -R12
Pay Rate: up to $87/hour w2 (no C2C)
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support enterprise systems within a dynamic media and entertainment environment. This role requires a highly analytical, proactive professional who can collaborate with business stakeholders, drive requirements gathering, and support complex technology initiatives.
You will work within a cross-functional technology team supporting internal business applications, including systems related to content production and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Project Initiation
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements
• Conduct stakeholder interviews to define functional needs
• Participate in project initiation and documentation
• Evaluate and recommend potential solutions
Application Development Support
• Analyze and document business processes and workflows
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver solutions
• Support system configuration and design discussions
• Participate in software selection processes when applicable
Testing & Quality Assurance
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
• Support integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Validate and document test results
• Ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements
Production Support
• Provide first-line support for business applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues
• Track, analyze, and escalate support tickets
• Coordinate with IT teams on system enhancements and fixes
Training & Documentation
• Develop user documentation and training materials
• Conduct end-user training sessions (individual and group)
• Support change management initiatives
Defect Management
• Track and document system defects
• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions
Required Qualifications
• 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise environments
• Strong experience with Oracle (Oracle R12 preferred)
• Experience supporting complex business and IT projects
• Proficiency in SQL or similar querying languages
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to challenge assumptions and push back when needed
• Experience with Visio and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Functional Knowledge (Preferred)
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Order-to-Cash (OTC)
• Project Accounting
• Inventory Management
• Work in Progress (WIP)
• Bill of Materials (BOM)
Technical Skills
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Microsoft Power Automate (preferred)
• Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and multi-tier application architectures
• Familiarity with IT best practices for application development
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the media and entertainment industry
• Strong business process modeling and workflow documentation skills
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree required
