Role: Sr. Power BI Developer with Oracle DB and GIS Location: Menands, New York Duration: 30 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 11347 Client: NY State - Office of Mental Health Description This position serves as an Power BI IT Specialist, and support the staff for the Office of Mental Health. This position also supports R&D efforts development of new executive dashboards, PowerBI administartion, analytics and reports. Duties • Analyze and develop Power BI technical solutions. Complete requirements analysis, capture and document the customer’s business and technical needs • Research and recommend technology to improve the current Power BI Premium Capacity • Contribute to the Architecture design and implementation of the Gateway Server and connection to the on-prem databases including testing and deployment of the workspaces • Building and Analyzing requirements for the project. • Create reports and graph dashboards using Power BI, using Oracle Database connection as necessary, to meet the business requirements of the project. • Develop Reports using ArcGIS or other Map options. • Configure and administer Power BI Premium Capacity. • Create Public sites using Python and integrate Power BI reports • Perform unit testing on all code changes. Mandatory Requirements • Experience (12+ Years) • Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.
