Job Title: Sr Lead – Snowflake Engineer Location: Alpharetta GA (Onsite role) Contract Project Duration : 12+ months, with extension Look for a strong Snowflake candidate with SAP ex p Job Descriptio n:We are looking for an experienced Sr Lead – Snowflake Engineer to lead the design, development, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based data solutions using Snowflake. The role requires strong hands-on technical expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Python, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, data integration, security, and performance optimizatio n.The Senior Lead will work closely with business, data, and technology teams to understand requirements, develop scalable data solutions, lead technical delivery, and provide hands-on guidance to the engineering tea m. Key Responsibilit • iesLead the development and implementation of scalable and highly available data solutions using Snowfla • ke.Design and implement logical and physical data models, including databases, schemas, tables, views, and virtual warehous • es.Develop and optimize data ingestion and transformation pipelines into Snowflake from structured and unstructured data sourc • es.Work with data formats including CSV, JSON, Parquet, and X • ML.Develop and maintain Snowflake objects including Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, Stored Procedures, Materialized Views, and Dynamic/External data sharing solutions as requir • ed.Implement Snowflake security using RBAC, user and role management, data access controls, and data maski • ng.Configure and optimize virtual warehouses, resource monitors, clustering, query performance, and overall Snowflake utilizati • on.Implement Snowflake capabilities such as Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, Data Sharing, and Fail-sa • fe.Monitor Snowflake usage and help optimize compute and storage costs based on workload requiremen • ts.Develop complex SQL queries and perform data validation, reconciliation, and data quality chec • ks.Work with Python, SQL, DBT, and other data engineering tools to support data processing and automati • on.Support database and data warehouse migration initiatives, including migration to Snowfla • ke.Analyze existing data processes and identify opportunities for performance improvement, automation, and optimizati • on.Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and other technical teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutio • ns.Lead technical discussions, code/design reviews, troubleshooting, and production issue resoluti • on.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level enginee • rs.Prepare technical documentation, implementation plans, technical specifications, and status updat • es.Ensure solutions follow organizational standards for security, governance, data quality, and complian • ce.Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and delivery tracki ng.
