Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Edge Computing Engineer to lead the deployment and orchestration of edge infrastructure in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for managing distributed edge nodes using the Zededa ecosystem, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity for factory floor applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Orchestration: Manage fleet deployment of edge devices using Zededa ZEDCloud and EVE-OS.
Infrastructure Management: Configure and troubleshoot Linux-based edge gateways, ensuring seamless integration with OT (Operational Technology) networks.
Containerization: Deploy and maintain containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes) on edge hardware to support real-time data collection and analytics.
Security: Implement Zero Trust security models for edge devices, managing firewalls, VPNs, and certificate-based authentication.
Automation: Utilize Python or Shell scripting to automate device onboarding and health monitoring processes.
Required Skills:
Edge Computing: Deep understanding of Zededa orchestration and EVE-OS architecture.
Linux Expert: Advanced proficiency in Linux system administration (Ubuntu/Alpine), kernel tuning, and networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
Virtualization: Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K3s/K8s), and virtualization (KVM/QEMU).
Networking: Experience with industrial networking protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA) and network security.
