Job Description Job Overview We are seeking an experienced SSIS SQL Engineer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain data integration solutions within an Agile software development environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL Server, SSIS, ETL development, and database optimization, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and promote best practices.Β This role requires a hands-on engineer who can build scalable data solutions, troubleshoot complex data issues, and contribute to continuous improvements in development processes. Roles and Responsibilities β€’ Design, develop, and maintain SSIS packages and ETL workflows to support data integration and analytics initiatives. β€’ Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects. β€’ Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from multiple source systems. β€’ Analyze and improve SQL performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and optimization techniques. β€’ Troubleshoot data integration issues and ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency. β€’ Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews. β€’ Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions. β€’ Mentor team members on SQL development, SSIS best practices, and coding standards. β€’ Lead and contribute to technical discussions around data engineering practices and process improvements. β€’ Ensure adherence to development standards, documentation practices, and quality guidelines. Required Qualifications β€’ Strong experience with SQL Server development and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). β€’ Hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL solutions. β€’ Advanced knowledge of: β€’ T-SQL β€’ Stored procedures β€’ Query optimization β€’ Database performance tuning β€’ Data modeling concepts β€’ Experience working in an Agile software development environment. β€’ Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. β€’ Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and mentor junior engineers. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Experience working with large-scale data platforms and analytics environments. β€’ Experience in healthcare analytics or other data-intensive industries. β€’ Familiarity with data quality, governance, and validation practices. β€’ Experience with modern software development practices, CI/CD processes, and source control tools. β€’ Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and code reviews.
