Senior Software Engineer - Developer Tools & SDKs
Location: Remote - US & Americas
Compensation: $ Competitive
We are a fast-growing software company dedicated to supporting and developing an EVM-compatible, open-source, proof-of-stake platform. This public network is engineered for enterprise and Web3 applications, prioritizing speed, security, stability, and sustainability, and is governed by industry-leading organizations. We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to lead the development of world-class developer tools and SDKs.
You will take the lead on crafting seamless developer experiences, owning the design, build, and maintenance of our open-source SDKs and related tooling. This role requires technical leadership, hands-on coding across multiple languages, and a strong focus on developer empathy. You will work cross-functionally to ensure our tools are intuitive, robust, and aligned with real-world developer needs.
What You'll Be Doing:
β’ SDK Development: Design, build, and maintain Open Source SDKs and related tooling that enable developers to integrate easily with our platform
β’ Developer Experience (DX) Champion: Champion and implement best-in-class developer experience standards across all tooling and SDKs
β’ Architecture & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing architectural vision and technical guidance
β’ API Integration: Consume and produce high-quality RESTful, GraphQL, or gRPC APIs with a clean, consistent design
β’ Workflow Enhancement: Design, integrate, and enhance developer workflows across popular IDEs (e.g., VS Code, IntelliJ) and debugging tools to streamline the development experience
β’ Leadership: Serve as a technical voice and mission-driven leader, rallying and inspiring the team around shared goals
Requirements
β’ Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java, C++, JavaScript, Python, Go, Swift, and/or Rust (proficiency in several is preferred)
β’ SDK Expertise: Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining SDKs or developer platforms
β’ APIs & Protocols: Experience in consuming and producing clean APIs
β’ DX Focus: Strong focus on delivering delightful developer experiences and empathy for API consumers
β’ Leadership: Ability to technically lead and mentor engineers across functions
β’ Debugging Tools: Strong understanding of modern IDE internals and debugging protocols (e.g., DAP, GDB, LLDB) with hands-on experience extending or customizing IDE/debugger functionality
β’ Mindset: Customer-oriented mindset with a bias toward action, self-driven, curious, and comfortable with ambiguity
Preferred Experience (Nice-to-Haves):
β’ Experience with Web3 Apps, Decentralised Ledger Technologies (DLTs), and/or Blockchains
β’ Background in writing smart contracts for Ethereum or other EVM-based chains
β’ Familiarity with gRPC and Protocol Buffers for high-performance API communication
β’ Contributions to open-source SDKs, devtools, or infrastructure libraries
