Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Starburst & ThoughtSpot Developer to design and implement scalable data analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Starburst (Trino/Presto) and ThoughtSpot, integrating multiple data sources to enable unified and efficient data insights for business users.
The position requires strong technical expertise in federated query development, BI dashboarding, and data integration, along with the ability to work collaboratively across engineering and analytics teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize federated data queries using Starburst (Trino/Presto).
• Build, configure, and maintain ThoughtSpot Liveboards, worksheets, and dashboards to support business analytics and reporting.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including Oracle, Snowflake, Redshift, S3, and others via Starburst to create a unified data access layer.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and solution architects to design scalable data pipelines and semantic models.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all analytics environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to query performance, optimization, and data integration.
• Create and maintain documentation for data models, processes, and dashboards.
• Provide user training and support to help business teams leverage ThoughtSpot for self-service analytics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Starburst (Trino/Presto) for federated data querying and performance tuning.
• Strong expertise in ThoughtSpot, including development of Liveboards, worksheets, and advanced analytics dashboards.
• Proven experience integrating data from cloud and on-premises sources (Oracle, Snowflake, Redshift, S3, etc.).
• Strong understanding of SQL, data modeling, ETL, and semantic layer design.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Strong documentation and communication abilities.
