Role description
Title: Analyst, Statistical Programming III
Location: Columbia SC (Partially Onsite)
Contract length: 6 Months (Contract to Hire)
Interview Process: 1 in person interview
Job Summary:
Duties/About the role:
There are a few different types of work that we do monthly. The beginning of the month is centered around data integrity and standard/routine processes. At the first of each month, we assist the data warehouse with their table loads by ensuring the data is complete and accurate. Once the tables are updated, we then run all our standard/routine processes against the updated data and deliver those reports. The remainder of the month will be spent creating ad hoc reports and working directly with customers to ensure the information they receive is relevant and accurate to the request. Most of the job is centered around programming to create useful and insightful reporting. Currently, we use a combination of SAS and SQL to pull, manipulate and report the data. However, we will be shifting to Python by the end of 2026. With the shift to Python, we are also looking to expand on our different data visualization tools to include dashboarding and modeling. These skills would be highly beneficial to a candidate as well.
•
•
• We are looking for reporting skills, rather than software development skills. The job is very different from IT/networking, and day-to-day can look quite different as well. We are also looking for programmers that can handle mathematical computations using programming languages.
•
•
• Job Requirements:
Required Experience: Strong organizational, customer service, and analytical skills. Ability to use complex mathematical calculations. Demonstrated knowledge of mathematical or statistical concepts. Relevant computer programming skills.
Required EDU: Bachelor's or Master's degree Statistics/Biostatistics, mathematics, computer science, or other job related field.
Required Work Experience: 4 years statistical programming or statistical interpretation.
Preferred Work Experience: 5 years experience with statistical practices. 5 years statistical software and relational database experience. (may be concurrent)
Required Software: Microsoft Office
Preferred Software: SAS and/or Python; Databricks; SQL (Really looking for these on resumes and experience converting SAS to Python)
