In this role, youโll dive into large datasets, support data governance initiatives, assist in statistical studies, and help streamline how data is collected, understood, and used across our teams. You'll collaborate with analysts, policy experts, and technologists to make sure data is accurate, accessible, and working for the people who need it most.
What Youโll Do
Keep our data accurate and trusted: Support data governance activities including quality checks, data cataloging, and metadata management
Crunch the numbers: Compile, calculate, and analyze data using statistical formulasโhelping to uncover trends and insights that drive decision-making
Tell the story: Create easy-to-understand charts, reports, and visualizations that clearly communicate complex data findings
Streamline and simplify: Automate manual data and reporting processes, and build tools and documentation that make work easier for everyone
Collaborate across teams: Work closely with stakeholders, analysts, and leadership to support data-driven initiatives
Document everything: Develop helpful guides, policies, meeting summaries, and user documentation that bring clarity to data workflows
Stay curious: Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying data issues, recommending fixes, and helping shape our approach to data quality
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in data governance, including experience with data quality and documentation
5+ years working with data in a statistical or research setting, applying formulas, conducting analysis, and supporting studies
A Bachelorโs degree in statistics, mathematics, public health, economics, or a related field
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
Advanced Excel skills (think pivot tables, formulas, macros)
Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
Experience with tools like Informatica, Collibra, or Alation for data governance
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Snowflake or Salesforce
Excellent communication skillsโyou can break down complex ideas into clear, actionable insights
Organized, motivated, and able to manage your own time in a collaborative environment
