Role description
Job title: Statistician II (Associate)
Contract Duration: 12+ months
Pay Range: $45 -$48.23/hour
Location: Hybrid β Upper Gwynedd, PA or Rahway, NJ (Rahway preferred)
Position Overview
The Statistician II (Associate) will support Research CMC Statistics by designing experiments, performing statistical analyses, and communicating results to cross-functional scientific teams. This role requires strong collaboration with scientists to ensure robust study design, execution, and reporting, with a focus on real-world industry applications.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Develop and implement study designs, including Design of Experiments (DOE), to support research objectives
β’ Perform statistical analyses and generate clear, accurate, and actionable outputs
β’ Collaborate closely with scientists to understand study requirements, constraints, and execution considerations
β’ Participate in joint discussions with scientific teams to plan experiments and interpret results
β’ Prepare and deliver high-quality study reports and statistical summaries
β’ Apply sound statistical methodology to support data-driven decision making
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
β’ Masterβs degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
β’ OR
β’ PhD (or equivalent) in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Core Skills & Experience
β’ Strong knowledge of statistical analysis methods and experimental design
β’ Hands-on experience with statistical and data processing software (SAS and/or R)
β’ Highly detail-oriented with strong execution and follow-through skills
β’ Proactive, self-motivated, and able to learn quickly
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
β’ Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Proven experience applying Design of Experiments (DOE) to real-world industry problems
β’ Experience in reliability analysis and acceptance sampling
β’ Industry experience in biopharma, pharmaceutical, or medical device settings
β’ Includes internships or co-op experience totaling 3+ years
β’ Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary scientific teams
