Position: Statistics Expert (PhD)
Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $60–$80/hour (based on experience)
Location: Remote
Duration: 1–2 months (with extension potential)
Commitment: 15–20 hrs/week (flexible, with potential up to 40 hrs/week)
Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)
• Contribute subject matter expertise in statistics to evaluate and design challenging domain-specific problems for AI systems.
• Review and validate AI-generated statistical reasoning and outputs for correctness, clarity, and rigor.
• Create high-quality datasets, problem sets, and evaluation benchmarks aligned with advanced statistical principles.
• Provide structured feedback to refine AI performance on probability, inference, regression, multivariate methods, and statistical modeling.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI research teams to ensure models align with academic and industry standards.
• Audit reasoning chains and problem-solving approaches to test the robustness of large language models in statistical domains.
Requirements / Ideal Qualifications
• Strong academic background with expertise in areas such as statistical inference, regression, time series, Bayesian methods, or applied statistics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• High attention to detail and ability to break down complex statistical concepts into clear evaluations.
• Prior experience in research, teaching, or problem design is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported).
