Job Description :
A StepWise Developer in healthcare designs and maintains rating, quoting, and workflow components within the StepWise platform, specializing in automating insurance product lifecycles. They translate business rules into technical configurations, ensuring compliance, data accuracy, and system integration for healthcare payers and providers.
Key Responsibilities
• StepWise Development: Develop, configure, and maintain StepWise components, including rating engines, workflow services, and data models.
• Automation & Integration: Create workflows for business processes and build API integrations (REST/SOAP) between StepWise and external systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
• Healthcare Logic: Implement complex insurance plan and benefit calculations, ensuring accurate rating and pricing logic.
• Data Management: Design database structures (tables, views) to manage configuration and transactional data.
• Quality Assurance: Test and debug applications to ensure reliability, performance, and HIPAA compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with the StepWise platform (Optum preferred).
• Technical Proficiencies: Strong skills in Microsoft .NET/ASP.NET and SQL Server.
• Data Skills: Advanced Excel skills for formula calculation and configuration.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience within healthcare, insurance, or financial services, focusing on rating and product management.
• Analytical Skills: Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills for optimizing complex workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Experience with DevOps practices for automating deployment.
• Understanding of Electronic Health Records (EHR) integrations.
