Job Summary:
β’ The Business Analytics Specialist will provide advanced statistical and analytical expertise to support multiple customer groups and therapeutic areas within the pharmaceutical domain. This role involves evaluating marketing effectiveness, conducting ROI and marketing mix analyses, developing predictive models, and supporting strategic decision-making across promotional and sales channels. The candidate will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and forecasting teams to optimize resource allocation, enhance promotional strategies, and drive business insights that improve overall commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Conduct advanced analytics to support brand planning and promotional resource allocation across various customer channels, including digital and field force models.
β’ Perform ROI and marketing mix analyses to assess marketing program effectiveness and inform strategic decisions.
β’ Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to align analytical insights with tactical and strategic initiatives.
β’ Integrate analytical outcomes into call plans, including in-person, digital, and virtual sales activities.
β’ Communicate analytical results clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders to support business decision-making.
β’ Share expertise on analytical methodologies, tools, and external vendors (including digital agencies) across the department.
β’ Support evolving business processes and execution needs within therapeutic areas.
β’ Contribute to customer profiling, segmentation, and predictive modeling projects.
β’ Perform digital analytics on non-personal marketing channels (email, mobile, banners, alerts, etc.) to improve campaign performance.
β’ Combine insights from various data sources (marketing research, forecasts, etc.) to create comprehensive business recommendations.
Required Skills:
β’ Expertise in advanced statistical methodologies (multivariate analysis, marketing mix modeling, predictive modeling).
β’ Strong proficiency in analytical tools such as R, Python, SAS, and SQL.
β’ Skilled in data extraction, manipulation, and presentation using Excel and PowerPoint.
β’ Experience analyzing large de-identified patient claims datasets.
β’ Ability to interpret and communicate complex analytical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
β’ Excellent organizational and project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
β’ Passion for digital analytics and technology-driven marketing solutions.
β’ Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments within a large organization.
Preferred Skills:
β’ Experience in CardioRenal Metabolic therapeutic areas (e.g., Chronic Kidney Disease, Heart Failure).
β’ Prior experience working with or within large pharmaceutical manufacturers.
β’ Familiarity with consumer marketing databases and in-campaign analytics.
β’ Experience with third-party digital agencies and marketing technology tools.
Education:
β’ Bachelorβs degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant analytic experience; OR
β’ Masterβs degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant analytic experience.
