Role description
Title: Strategist, Audience Development & Revenue Department: Entertainment Digital Our major Entertainment client is looking for a Strategist, Audience Development & Revenue to help strategically grow digital properties through data-based insights and analysis. This person will work closely with research, product, and content development teams to identify opportunities to enhance current revenue efforts and uncover new ways to expand audience reach. The ideal candidate is highly quantitative, yet nimble and creative, with the ability to think critically and influence strategic decision-making through data and testing. This role requires an innovative digital strategist who can identify growth opportunities through insightful, data-backed research and who has a strong understanding of industry trends and the needs of digital brands. Responsibilities • Proactively use data to uncover and quantify opportunities to optimize content, acquire new audiences, improve loyalty, and maximize revenue potential • Translate open-ended business questions into structured analyses, insights, and actionable recommendations across content strategy, digital product development, commerce, forecasting, and audience research • Design and execute in-depth audience analyses in key areas (e.g., genre fandoms, underrepresented audiences) to identify growth opportunities, content white spaces, and unmet audience needs across formats and trends • Build pitch decks with clear narratives that resonate with a wide range of stakeholders, from creatives to executives to technical partners • Manage revenue, acquisition, and commerce analytics by monitoring benchmarks, delivering insights, and communicating KPI pacing to ensure annual goals are met • Partner with Product, Commerce, and Audience Development teams to optimize acquisition and revenue experiences, providing a data-driven perspective that aligns cross-functional teams on performance against key goals • Collaborate with research partners to maintain data accuracy, identify inefficiencies or recurring pain points, and design solutions that reduce manual work and improve data quality Qualifications • BA/BS or equivalent experience in Marketing, Commerce, Journalism, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field with a qualitative background • 3–5+ years of experience in analytics, business strategy, consulting, ecommerce, media and entertainment, data products, or other data-driven roles • Experience in entertainment, media, retail, or affiliate commerce environments • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems and translate data into clear recommendations • Technical proficiency with SQL (intermediate to advanced), Excel (pivot tables, modeling), and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms • Working knowledge of SEO and experience using tools like Google Trends, Google Search Console, SimilarWeb, or SEMRush • Ability to analyze large data sets, interpret trends, identify anomalies, and develop testing plans based on insights • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with both creative and analytical teams • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize across multiple workstreams • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and creative problem-solving • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow Eight Eleven Group (DBA Calculated Hire) provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
