Role description
Western Governors University (WGU) is looking for an individual to participate as a Subject Matter Expert for our Azure AI Fundamentals design project. This position is 100% remote.
Subject Matter Experts provide valuable real-world knowledge and experience to the development of the courses we offer our students. This is a part-time/project-based position, where you would work with WGU as an Independent Contractor.
Subject Matter Experts MUST meet the following criteria:
• Masters in CS, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
• Azure AI Developer Associate certification preferred – Azure AI Fundamentals cert may be acceptable with industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the software engineering, computer science, or data science field is essential, including hands-on experience with various projects and technologies.
• Specialization in AI topics such as: Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Deep Learning, etc.
• Experience with Azure cloud AI solutions.
Project Information
Dates: 11/24 to 1/16 (Subject to slight change)
Application Deadline: 11/17
Location: Remote
Time commitment: Approximately 100 hours
Compensation: $7,500.00
Other compensation and benefits: This position is for an independent contractor and is not eligible for other compensation or benefits.
Scope of work: Assessment, Curriculum Design, and Development for AI Engineering with C# course. Review competencies, evidence statements, and skills alignment with each competency. Identify topics for each module/competency. Provide suggestions on learning resources. Consult on potential technology or tools as needed.
Meetings/Workshops: Two 1-hour meetings per week.
