Job Description
Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Supply Chain Analyst - Researches supply chain operations, including warehousing and storage and locations to support maintenance. Maintains updated and accurate records in the inventory and property management system for supply demand analysis and forecasting, and track inventory by TDL, location, and device type to ensure supply visibility. Seeks alternate supply sources to control costs and assure part availability, mitigating supply chain disruptions. The specialist also coordinates the demilitarization, de-installation, transportation, and disposal processes for Government Furnished Property (GFP) and non-accountable property, complying with demilitarization standards and Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) system requirements. Provides accurate submission of shipping/disposal documentation for adjusting accountability. Distributes use of access and keys for contract performance, manages commercial telecommunications services as needed, and ensures appropriate indoor/outdoor storage, inspections, and maintenance of GFP and non-accountable property to prevent deterioration and preserve issuable condition. Collaborates with Logistics Specialists.
Minimum Qualifications
β’ 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
β’ Must possess an active Secret clearance
β’ Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively
β’ Capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
β’ Proven track record of contributing to successful team outcomes
Preferred Requirements
β’ Knowledge of DoD acquisition and contracting processes
β’ Working familiarity with federal compliance standards (e.g., DFARS, ITAR)
β’ PMP, CISSP, or other relevant certifications preferred
Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
