Role description
Position: Data Analyst - Global Supply Chain Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour (based on experience) Contract: 3-month contract, full-time (high potential for extension or hire) Site: Carlsbad, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Description: The Data Analyst – Global Supply Chain will play a key role in supporting the Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams through data-driven insights and process improvements. This role focuses on data analysis, reporting, and automation to support forecasting, planning, and performance tracking initiatives across global operations. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Analyze manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain data to identify trends and process improvement opportunities. β€’ Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI and Excel. β€’ Generate weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports to support strategic decision-making. β€’ Utilize SQL, Power Query, and Power Automate to streamline data collection and reporting processes. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, planning, and procurement to ensure data accuracy and consistency. β€’ Support supply and demand forecasting through data modeling and performance metrics tracking. β€’ Assist with master data management, ensuring alignment between systems such as Oracle R12, Cognos, and other ERP tools. β€’ Provide recommendations to optimize operations, reduce waste, and improve delivery efficiency. Schedule: β€’ Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Hybrid schedule; three days onsite in Carlsbad, two days remote). Requirements: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field required. β€’ 3+ years of experience in data analytics or supply chain analytics, preferably in a manufacturing or life sciences environment. β€’ Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, Excel, SQL, and Power Automate. β€’ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. β€’ Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle R12 or Cognos preferred. β€’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations. Nice-to-Have Skills: β€’ Experience in forecasting, planning, or logistics analytics. β€’ Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies. β€’ Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
