Role description
Position: Supply Chain Data Analyst
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour (based on experience)
Contract: 3-month contract, full-time (potential for extension or hire)
Site: Carlsbad, CA (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Description:
The Data Analyst - Global Supply Chain will play a key role in supporting the Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams through data-driven insights and process improvements. This role focuses on data analysis, reporting, and automation to support forecasting, planning, and performance tracking initiatives across global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain data to identify trends and process improvement opportunities.
Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI and Excel.
Generate weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports to support strategic decision-making.
Utilize SQL, Power Query, and Power Automate to streamline data collection and reporting processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, planning, and procurement to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Support supply and demand forecasting through data modeling and performance metrics tracking.
Assist with master data management, ensuring alignment between systems such as Oracle R12, Cognos, and other ERP tools.
Provide recommendations to optimize operations, reduce waste, and improve delivery efficiency.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Hybrid schedule; three days onsite in Carlsbad, two days remote).
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field required.
3+ years of experience in data analytics or supply chain analytics, preferably in a manufacturing or life sciences environment.
Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, Excel, SQL, and Power Automate.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle R12 or Cognos preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience in forecasting, planning, or logistics analytics.
Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
