About the Role:
• The IT Business Analyst - ERP Functional Expert will serve as a strategic partner to the Atlanta-Smyrna manufacturing site, enabling end-to-end operational improvements through functional process design, ERP capabilities, and business-driven technology initiatives.
• While the ERP platform (currently Jobscope) will be a central area of responsibility, this role also engages in initiatives beyond the ERP system, such as data reporting, workflow optimization, process digitization, and cross-functional system enhancements.
• The analyst will help identify opportunities, define requirements, and deliver solutions that improve how work is executed across manufacturing, engineering, service/maintenance, procurement, and finance.
• This role is ideal for someone who understands manufacturing business processes, is fluent in ERP and operational systems, and is passionate about enabling scalable, data-driven process improvements that extend across systems and departments.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with site-level stakeholders to assess operational processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements enabled by ERP or related solutions
• Lead or participate in business process optimization initiatives that span ERP, reporting systems, integrations, and adjacent applications
• Conduct discovery sessions and requirements gathering with business teams to translate needs into functional specifications
• Facilitate end-to-end process mapping, fit-gap analysis, and functional design across areas such as order management, job costing, shop floor execution, procurement, and service operations
• Drive configuration, enhancement, and rollout of ERP functionality in collaboration with IT, third-party partners, and the business
• Support testing efforts including UAT planning and execution for ERP and ERP-adjacent initiatives
• Create user documentation, process guides, and training materials for business users
• Collaborate with data/reporting teams to deliver dashboards and insights that leverage ERP and other system data
• Participate in upgrade readiness, change management, and business enablement strategies
• Continuously evaluate and promote process and technology improvements aligned with digital transformation goals
What you need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience as a functional analyst, business analyst, or ERP SME in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Demonstrated end-to-end experience working with ERP systems (Jobscope, IFS, Oracle, JD Edwards, Infor, Epicor, etc.)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and workflows including engineering, planning, quote to cash, procure to pay, service and maintenance, and shop floor execution
• Proven ability to lead or contribute to functional initiatives across ERP and non-ERP platforms
• Excellent analytical, facilitation, and communication skills
• Strong understanding of business systems integration and how data flows between platforms
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams); experience with workflow or visualization tools a plus
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed to support plant-level or cross-site initiatives
