Role description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Coordinator to manage and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, procurement processes, and inventory management. This position requires strong analytical skills, negotiation capabilities, and experience in supply chain management to enhance our operational efficiency.
Duties
Coordinate supply chain activities including purchasing, sourcing, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Manage warehouse operations, including stocking, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment.
Conduct data analysis and visualization using tools such as Power BI and Tableau to monitor inventory levels and forecast demand.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in inventory control and materials handling.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms while managing supplier relationships effectively.
Utilize ERP systems (including AS400) for data mining and financial analysis related to procurement and inventory management.
Perform root cause analysis to identify issues within the supply chain and develop actionable solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align demand planning with production schedules.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and supplier performance metrics.
Experience
Proven experience in supply chain management or related fields such as warehouse management or logistics.
Familiarity with procurement processes, category management, and financial modeling is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analytics tools (SQL, Nielsen) for effective decision-making.
Experience with MRP systems and supply chain analytics is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in warehouse settings.
Knowledge of e-commerce practices and retail management will be beneficial.
Previous experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers is advantageous.
