Role description
A leading American semiconductor company is seeking a Sustainability Analyst to support the execution of its global sustainability program. The role will focus on data management, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to advance the company’s environmental and social initiatives. The Sustainability Team operates within the Legal Department and works closely with business units worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate company-wide data collection through sustainability software to support the annual Sustainability Report and disclosures (e.g., CDP, Ecovadis).
• Assist in preparing annual inventories for Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions, as well as water and waste metrics.
• Maintain and analyze large ESG datasets using Excel and Power BI to support reporting and visualization.
• Support data verification and audit processes to ensure data accuracy and transparency.
• Contribute to product life cycle assessments (LCA) and product carbon footprint (PCF) modeling, refining methodologies and documentation.
• Respond to customer sustainability data requests and external sustainability surveys.
• Support internal initiatives, including risk and materiality assessments and employee engagement activities.
• Conduct benchmarking and research on sustainability best practices and peer performance.
• Assist with sustainability ratings and rankings (e.g., MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, Bloomberg) to improve overall performance.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Economics, Business, Data Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 2–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in sustainability consulting, technology, or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI, with experience managing large datasets.
• Strong understanding of GHG Protocol and corporate Scope 3 emissions reporting.
• Familiarity with GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, and Ecovadis frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a cross-functional, global environment.
• Knowledge of renewable energy, circular economy, supply chain emissions, or product sustainability is a plus.
• Experience with environmental compliance (e.g., Conflict Minerals) and awareness of sustainability issues in the semiconductor or technology sector preferred.
