Job Summary
Our client is seeking a System/DevOps Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Englewood, Colorado.
Duties
β’ Run Ansible automation to update virtual machines for security compliance on a monthly cadence
β’ Perform manual break-fix of virtual machines as needed to support users, developers and security
β’ Perform manual break-fix of various services running on both traditional VMs and Kubernetes
β’ Use Grafana dashboards to identify potentially degraded systems and perform break-fix
β’ Process JIRA security tickets addressed by automated patching, identify potentially unaddressed CVEs for enhancements to Ansible automation
β’ Process security remediation plans and other compliance business analysis tasks
β’ Identify unaddressed and false positive CVEs from Gitlab security scan results for development team
β’ Identify issues with lab networks or lab services that may be causing application issues and open tickets with relevant teams
β’ Identify network connectivity issues between application systems and external systems used by test automation
Desired Skills/Experience:
β’ Mid-level Linux and Windows system administration experience
β’ Familiarity with running Ansible playbooks
β’ Familiarity with the CVE database and security compliance in general
β’ Familiarity with Git and Jira, or another ticketing system
β’ Understanding of network diagnostic tools such as ping, traceroute, telnet, dig, nslookup, nmap and TCP/IP networking basics
β’ Understanding of operating system diagnostic tools for processes, system events, and resource utilization
β’ Understanding of Kubernetes basics such as deployments, pods, ingress
β’ Ability to read logs, make reasonable hypotheses of potential issues and further diagnose
β’ Strong written communication skills operating in an asynchronous and responsive environment

The approximate pay range for this position is between $46.00 and 66.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
