Role description
Hope for Justice is a charity working to bring freedom from human trafficking and modern slavery with an effective and proven multi-disciplinary model. Our wholly owned social enterprise, Slave-Free Alliance, provides services to global companies and public bodies seeking to protect their operations and supply chains against the risks of modern slavery and labour exploitation. We have active programmes in the UK, USA, Ethiopia and Uganda, reaching approximately 200,000 adults and children a year. Hope for Justice and Slave-Free Alliance have staff and volunteers involved in operational support, fundraising or other initiatives in Australia. Position:
As a key member of our Data & Technology team, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining powerful tools that help teams across the organization operate more efficiently and insightfully. From crafting Power BI dashboards and automating workflows, to maintaining data systems and collaborating with stakeholders around the world — this role is both technical and collaborative at its core.
We're looking for someone who has proven experience with Power BI and the wider Power Platform environment, has strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex data across systems (case management, donor, finance). An ideal candidate would have be passionate and proactive about upskilling in new technologies and be a clear, confident communicator — able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Familiarity with data protection laws and best practices is a plus.

Requirements:
Data Analysis and Reporting
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to create and maintain Power BI reports to track organisational metrics and support decision-making.
• Extract, clean, and analyse data from multiple databases to generate actionable insights.
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements related to data collection and reporting.
• Collaborate with departments on ad hoc data analysis needs and produce clear documentation.
• Manage and optimise data connections across key systems, including case management, donor management, and finance systems.
Workflow Automation
• Design and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline manual processes.
• Develop and document low-code/no-code solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Automate data integration processes and identify opportunities to enhance automation in existing workflows.
• Support user awareness and adoption of self-service automation tools.
Low-Code Development
• Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform solutions to address operational needs.
• Collaborate on the development of new applications that align with organisational goals.
Data Management
• Engage with subject matter experts across the business to ensure we are aligning with and documenting best practices relating to national and local data protection legislation.
• Contribute to the creation of governance documents to support the organisational rollout of low-code/no-code solutions
• Work with teams to improve data collection, storage, and reporting processes.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across countries (Ethiopia, Uganda, UK, USA, and Australia) and departments to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Provide training and guidance on best practices for using Power Platform tools and other data systems, particularly focusing on best-practice use of databases and the adoption of Power BI across teams
