Role description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join a high-impact CMS Replacement Project, supporting a major enterprise re-platforming initiative that moves a primary customer-facing website off a legacy CMS and onto Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites and AEM Assets (DAM). This is a hands-on, high-volume delivery role embedded within an Agile Scrum team, working closely with the Product Owner, Lead BA, Development team, and Systems Integrator to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories. Assignments will span CMS, DAM, Adobe Target personalization, website search, and a broad set of digital ecosystem integrations — with workload distributed across the BA team. This role demands a seasoned contributor who can ramp quickly, write at volume without sacrificing quality, and bring genuine Adobe ecosystem expertise to every sprint from day one.
Responsibilities
• Write high-volume, high-quality user stories (hundreds expected) with clear acceptance criteria using the "As a, I want, so that" format to support development and configuration
• Capture and translate business requirements into functional specifications and help refine design documents in partnership with both Business and Delivery teams
• Support configuration requirements for AEM templates, components, and forms by clarifying requirements for Developers (the BA does not configure directly)
• Gather and document personalization requirements for AEM/Adobe Target, including audience targeting, A/B testing, and experience optimization
• Gather and document website search requirements, including search configuration, indexing, relevancy, faceting, and filtering expectations
• Define integration requirements for GA4 analytics and tagging, Salesforce CRM Chatbot/Live Agent, Medallia customer feedback capture, SSO/authentication, and other CMS and DAM integrations as needed
• Assist with content and asset migration efforts, including content and asset mapping to support the re-platform
• Partner with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Lead BA, and Systems Integrator to drive sprint delivery and maintain backlog health
• Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies — Daily Standups, Sprint Planning with estimation, Story Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives — and contribute to continuous improvement
• Perform functional validation and testing support on authored stories to confirm work was completed correctly, in partnership with the Product Owner and QA team
• Act as a quality check on deliverables and overall user experience, bringing a customer-focused UAT mindset to story validation
• Contribute to asset management workflow requirements gathering and documentation
Skills
• Hands-on, demonstrable expertise with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Sites) CMS and AEM Assets (DAM) across both sides of the Adobe ecosystem
• Strong experience gathering requirements for Adobe Target personalization, including audience targeting, A/B testing, and experience optimization
• Experience gathering requirements for website search functionality, including out-of-the-box Adobe search, indexing, relevancy, and faceting/filtering
• Proven ability to write clear, customer-focused user stories with strong acceptance criteria using the traditional "As a, I want, so that" method
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, story refinement, and clarifying design documents in collaboration with Business and Delivery stakeholders
• Experience writing integration requirements across CMS/DAM integrations including GA4, Salesforce CRM, Medallia, and SSO
• Familiarity with content and asset management workflows for the purpose of requirements gathering and story writing
• Ability to balance business needs with technical feasibility in close partnership with development and SI teams
• UAT mindset with the ability to test stories from the customer's point of view and provide practical feedback beyond structured script-driven QA testing
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across business, technical, and delivery audiences
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Figma (for review purposes), MS Teams, SharePoint, and standard corporate collaboration tools
• Collaborative, down-to-earth team player who operates independently, meets deadlines reliably, takes direction well from team leads, and brings a continuous improvement mindset to every sprint
• Comfortable working at a faster pace on a high-visibility, high-budget project, with the resilience and good humor to thrive in a high-energy team environment
Experience
• 5+ years as a Business Analyst working in Agile/Scrum environments with strong familiarity with the Scrum framework
• Proven experience supporting CMS implementations and website re-platforming projects, ideally migrating off a legacy CMS to Adobe
• Demonstrated experience gathering requirements for Adobe Target and personalization tooling
• Experience gathering requirements for website search functionality within an AEM or comparable enterprise CMS context
• Experience writing requirements across CMS/DAM integrations including analytics, CRM, customer feedback, and authentication platforms
• Experience supporting functional testing and story validation in partnership with Product Owners and QA teams
• Preferred: Familiarity with the broader Adobe ecosystem including Adobe Analytics and Adobe Launch/Tags
• Preferred: Prior experience on a Salesforce-to-Adobe or comparable legacy-to-Adobe CMS migration
• Preferred: Experience in utility, regulated-industry, or large enterprise website environments with high-process, large corporate organizational structures
Qualifications
• W2 Contract engagement — required by Client; no C2C or 1099 arrangements
• 12-month contract duration with strong possibility of extension through end of 2027
• Hybrid work model with 2–3 days on-site preferred; fully remote candidates will be considered
• Must reside in one of the following states: Minnesota, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, New Mexico, or Michigan
• Infrequent travel may be required, including attendance at Architecture Workshops with the Systems Integrator in Minneapolis, MN, and potential team on-site meetings
Pay Rate Range
64.62 - 86.15 USD hourly
