Project Overview:
β’ This project focuses on enhancing and stabilizing the automated Tableau workflows used to support post-market complaint and adverse event trending.
β’ These workflows integrate data from multiple systems (e.g., CATS Web, Veeva Safety, Oracle) into a validated analytics platform for data preparation, analysis, and reporting.
β’ The current Tableau automation has significantly improved efficiency by replacing manual, spreadsheet-based processes, but ongoing updates and evolving business requirements require continued development.
β’ The temporary resource will play a key role in implementing these updates, improving the robustness of the Tableau workflows, and preparing the system for eventual transition into the companyβs Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data environment.
Responsibilities:
Enhance Tableau Data Workflows:
β’ Update and refine Tableau Prep flows and dashboards to incorporate new data sources, metrics, and reporting requirements
β’ Improve data transformations, logic, and integration across multiple source systems
Maintain and Optimize Automation:
β’ Ensure existing Tableau workflows continue to run reliably and produce consistent outputs
β’ Troubleshoot issues related to data discrepancies, broken flows, or incomplete outputs
Support Complaint Trending Deliverables:
β’ Assist in generating monthly complaint and adverse event trending outputs, including dashboards, slides, and supporting analysis
β’ Ensure outputs align with quality procedures and reporting expectations
Improve Data Quality and Consistency:
β’ Identify and resolve inconsistencies between source data and Tableau outputs
β’ Help standardize logic and reduce manual intervention in data preparation
Document and Prepare for Handoff:
β’ Document Tableau workflows, logic, and dependencies to support knowledge transfer
β’ Organize Tableau processes to enable seamless transition to a future full-time hire
Support Long-Term Transition to GCP:
β’ Structure Tableau workflows in a way that facilitates replication in the companyβs cloud-based data environment
β’ Provide input on how existing logic and data transformations can be translated into scalable data pipelines.
Expected Outcomes:
β’ Improved reliability and completeness of Tableau-based complaint trending workflows
β’ Reduced reliance on manual Excel-based data preparation
β’ Increased alignment of outputs with evolving stakeholder and SOP requirements
β’ Well-documented Tableau processes ready for transition to GCP
β’ Continuity of automated reporting during the transition period to a full-time hire.
