Tableau Developer (Server to Cloud Migration) | Contract | 20 hrs/week | Remote We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Tableau Developer to lead a migration from Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud for a Salesforce-backed project! This is a 13-week part-time contract (up to 20 hours/week) — ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on delivery work and enjoys tackling high-impact data projects. What You’ll Be Doing • Assess and analyze the current Tableau Server setup — workbooks, data sources, permissions, integrations, and schedules. • Build and execute a smooth migration plan to Tableau Cloud. • Optimize dashboards and data models for performance and best practices in the Cloud environment. • Reconfigure data connections, authentication, and refresh schedules. • Implement governance, roles, and content organization post-migration. • Test and validate deliverables with key business stakeholders. • Deliver documentation, knowledge transfer, and post-migration support. • Partner with internal technical teams across Snowflake, Data Engineering, and Security. What We’re Looking For: • 3–5+ years of Tableau development and administration experience. • Proven experience migrating Tableau Server environments to Tableau Cloud. • Expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Cloud publishing, and content management. • Strong SQL skills and a solid grasp of BI data modeling. • Exposure to enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, SQL Server, Databricks, etc.). • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Comfortable working independently in a fractional, delivery-oriented model. • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and QA habits.
