Tableau Engineer – Semantic Layer & Databricks

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Engineer with expertise in Tableau, Semantic Layer/Data Modeling, and Databricks to build scalable analytics solutions and interactive dashboards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to design semantic data models, optimize reporting performance, and deliver enterprise-grade BI solutions. Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Tableau Engineer with expertise in Tableau, Semantic Layer/Data Modeling, and Databricks to build scalable analytics solutions and interactive dashboards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to design semantic data models, optimize reporting performance, and deliver enterprise-grade BI solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports for business stakeholders. • Build and optimize Tableau data sources, extracts, and semantic models. • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to integrate data from Databricks and cloud data platforms. • Develop reusable semantic layers to ensure consistent business metrics and reporting. • Optimize dashboard performance and data refresh processes. • Validate data quality, accuracy, and governance across reporting solutions. • Work closely with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Support dashboard deployment, troubleshooting, and production enhancements. • Document data models, dashboards, and reporting standards. Required Skills • 5+ years of experience in Tableau development and Business Intelligence. • Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Cloud. • Experience designing semantic data models and enterprise reporting solutions. • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark. • Strong SQL skills and experience with complex data transformations. • Experience integrating Tableau with cloud data platforms. • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star/snowflake schemas. • Knowledge of data governance, security, and row-level security implementation. • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development practices.
