Tableau Server Administrator / Erwin Administrator
We are looking for an experienced Tableau Server Administrator / Erwin Administrator to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and data modeling environments for an IT team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing Tableau platforms, supporting business users, creating dashboards, and maintaining data modeling tools in a fast-paced environment.
The primary focus of this position will be Tableau Server Administration, along with hands-on work in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and Erwin Data Modeling tools. The consultant will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and support teams to ensure reliable platform performance, secure access management, and timely delivery of reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
• Administer and maintain Tableau Server environments, including monitoring uptime, managing user access, permissions, schedules, and server performance.
• Perform Tableau Server upgrades, patches, configurations, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep development activities, including publishing and maintaining dashboards and reports.
• Create interactive dashboards and analytical reports based on business requirements.
• Manage data refresh schedules and connections with various enterprise data sources.
• Follow established UI/UX and accessibility standards, including Section 508 compliance guidelines.
• Handle onboarding/offboarding activities for Tableau and Erwin users.
• Administer Erwin Data Modeler, ER360, and Mart Portal environments, including license management and server maintenance.
• Coordinate with Tableau and Erwin vendor support teams for issue resolution and escalations.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and support documentation.
• Process and resolve support tickets within defined SLA timelines.
• Provide weekly project and operational status updates to management.
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong experience with Tableau Server Administration in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep.
• Experience managing Tableau upgrades, configurations, security, and content deployment.
• Experience with Erwin Data Modeler, ER360, and Mart Portal administration.
• Knowledge of dashboard development, data visualization best practices, and reporting standards.
• Experience working with multiple enterprise data sources and scheduled refresh processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting government or highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards such as Section 508.
• Experience working in Dev, Test, and Production environments.
• Ability to support both operational administration and hands-on development activities.
