Technical Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Systems Analyst Location: Nashville, TN Employment Type: Contract Compensation: $46-$51 per Hour Position Overview The Business Systems Analyst will analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems. This role involves reviewing system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations, and translating business needs into technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. Position’s Contributions to Work Group • Provide definition, business analysis, and implementation of multi-phased projects • Research and assist in system design to support business processes • Offer technical guidance on architectural planning of systems and resources • Develop and deliver training as needed • Attend Agile ceremonies and provide status updates • Create user stories • Define testing and requirements Education & Experience Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field required • MBA or other related advanced degree preferred • 5–7 years of relevant experience required • Internships accepted as job experience • Comparable roles: Business Analyst, Business Process Analyst Top 3 Skills • Writing complex user stories (API calls, Batch jobs) • Experience with Salesforce (gathering business requirements and testing) • Ability to communicate technical and business concepts Required Technical Skills • Agile Methodology • Writing complex user stories (API calls, Batch jobs) • Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce Experience Cloud • Knowledge of Visual Basic, Java, SQL • Understanding of design techniques and principles for drawings and models Required Soft Skills • Excellent communication (oral and written) • Ability to work independently and with a team • High attention to detail Typical Responsibilities • Gather requirements from business units and translate to developers • Confer with clients regarding information processing needs • Prepare cost-benefit and ROI analyses for system implementation • Interview or observe workers to determine information flow • Coordinate and link systems for compatibility and information sharing • Consult with management on system principles • Expand or modify systems to improve workflow Team Structure Collaborative team environment Approximately 20 team members Reports to team lead and work director
