AI Strategist (Business Analyst β Advanced)
Location: Hybrid (2β3 Days Onsite per Week)
Contract Duration: 12 Months (Extension Possible)
We are seeking a forward-thinking AI Strategist to lead the development and execution of an enterprise AI vision within a public-sector environment. This is a strategic role partnering closely with executive leadership and technology teams to drive responsible, secure, and impactful AI adoption across the organization.
Position Overview
The AI Strategist will define and implement an agency-wide AI roadmap focused on improving operational efficiency, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role blends AI strategy, governance, business analysis, and organizational change management.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with organizational goals
β’ Establish AI governance frameworks and responsible AI adoption standards
β’ Define ethical AI principles, including fairness, transparency, and human oversight
β’ Conduct privacy, bias, and impact assessments; support audit and compliance initiatives
β’ Serve as business product owner for AI initiatives, defining requirements and success metrics
β’ Collaborate with technology, legal, cybersecurity, and data governance teams
β’ Lead change management efforts, AI literacy initiatives, and executive communications
β’ Support vendor evaluations and procurement processes
β’ Define KPIs, track performance, and publish impact reporting
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree
β’ Experience in program/project management and strategic planning
β’ Hands-on knowledge of AI technologies, machine learning, and data governance
β’ Strong stakeholder engagement and executive-level communication skills
β’ Experience working in government or public-sector environments
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field
β’ 5+ years of progressive experience in AI strategy, data analytics, or IT leadership
β’ Experience implementing AI governance frameworks
β’ Strong background in change management and cross-functional leadership
Additional Information
β’ Operates with limited supervision and requires independent judgment
β’ May require occasional travel or after-hours support
β’ Hybrid work model with required onsite presence
