Role description
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Client Facing Technical Business Analyst to join a fast-paced, data-driven environment. This role will serve as a critical bridge between external clients and internal data and engineering teams, supporting data governance, integration efforts, and the management of Data Transfer Agreements (DTAs).
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of databases, and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements. This individual will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and successful integration across systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and manage Data Transfer Agreements (DTAs) across client engagements
• Perform data mapping exercises between source and target systems
• Conduct gap analysis, data validation, and data quality assessments
• Write Jira stories and technical documentation for development teams
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, IT, and Engineering teams on data governance initiatives
• Act as a client-facing resource for onboarding, reporting, and issue resolution
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical/data specifications
• Support ETL/ELT processes by defining requirements and creating user stories
Required Qualifications
• Experience in a client-facing Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst role
• Proficiency in SQL Server (Snowflake preferred)
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries
• Strong foundational understanding of databases and data structures
• Experience with data mapping, documentation, and writing user stories
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience working with external clients (pharma or healthcare experience preferred)
• Experience using Jira for documentation and story creation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with Data Transfer Agreements (DTAs)
• Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical environments
• Exposure to data governance and compliance frameworks

The projected hourly range for this position is $65 to $75.
