Kforce's client in Stamford, CT is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support the development and optimization of their Unix-based legacy systems, written in the Pick programming language. Summary: This role requires a strong understanding of operational workflows and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions that enhance user experience. The Technical Business Analyst will work closely with technical leads and subject matter experts to define strategies, improve system efficiency, and ensure data accuracy. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment. Responsibilities include:
β’ Analyze and support development efforts using Pick and Multivalue database environments (e.g., Universe) and TCL commands
β’ Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless system integration and data synchronization across platforms such as SAP Hybris, MobileFrame, and Salesforce
β’ Participate in source control practices and contribute to team-based development workflows
β’ Engage in technical discussions to identify and resolve system inefficiencies and data quality issues
β’ Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., SOX) to maintain data integrity and security
β’ Leverage knowledge of AIX and/or Unix systems (preferred)
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
β’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
β’ Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality
β’ Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends
β’ Experience with Pick programming language and Unix-based systems
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
