Connect to your opportunity With a Technical Business Analyst role, you will enjoy working close to technology and delivery, and who are comfortable operating between business needs and technical solution design. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will act as the bridge between business needs and technical delivery for modern AI & Data driven solutions. You will work closely with clients, architects, and development teams to translate requirements into clear, implementable technical solutions that align with business goals and technical constraints. Data and AI Strategy: Working with business and technical stakeholders to develop strategies and governance to drive value from data using modern analytics and AI techniques. Requirements & Analysis: Elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, and technical requirements. Translate needs into technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Solution Design & Collaboration: Work with architects and developers to design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. Contribute to design discussions, assess feasibility, and identify risks and dependencies, including adoption or responsible AI frameworks. Documentation: Produce and maintain high-quality artefacts including functional/technical specifications, process flows, data models, and interface definitions. Stakeholder Management: Act as a key liaison between business and technical stakeholders, communicating complex technical concepts clearly and managing expectations. Data & Systems Analysis: Analyse data structures, mappings, and system interactions to support integrations, reporting, and solution design. Testing & Quality Assurance: Define and support test scenarios and acceptance criteria, supporting UAT and defect resolution. Problem Solving: Investigate technical issues, work with delivery teams to identify root causes, and support sustainable solutions. Connect to your skills and professional experience Technical requirements: Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role. Strong experience gathering, analysing, and documenting technical and functional requirements. Awareness and interest in modern data analytics and AI technologies. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working with delivery teams in Agile environments. Exposure to system integrations, data flows, and enterprise platforms. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, modelling tools (UML/BPMN), and data or reporting tools (e.g. SQL) is desirable. Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate being eligible for and successfully obtaining UK Security Check (SC) security clearance.
