Position: Technical Business Analyst Type: Part-Time Location: 100% Remote Experience Level: Junior Level ShotDeck is the leading visual research platform for the entertainment industry, serving professionals in film, television, gaming, advertising, and beyond. Our website and mobile platform offer over 2,000,000 fully searchable images from movies, TV, music videos, and commercials — providing inspiration and reference tools to help creatives, students, and educators express their vision more effectively. ShotDeck is a subscription-based service with monthly and yearly plans for both individual and enterprise clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Technical Business Analyst with 2–4 years of experience to support initiatives by defining clear, functional, and measurable requirements for engineering teams. This role will act as a critical liaison between stakeholders and development to ensure solutions align with business objectives and are delivered efficiently. The ideal candidate excels at translating business needs into precise technical documentation, defining scope, and supporting the full project lifecycle from discovery through implementation and validation. This is a remote, part-time role (approximately 20 hours per week). Key Responsibilities: • Elicit, gather, and analyze business, functional, and technical requirements. • Write clear, specific, and functional requirements that define the what (not the how) for developers. • Ensure requirements are quantifiable, measurable, and supported by appropriate documentation or data. • Document workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting artifacts. • Support development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle by clarifying requirements and resolving questions. • Manage requirement changes, updates, and traceability throughout the project. • Communicate effectively between business stakeholders, product teams, developers, and testers. • Evaluate delivered solutions against requirements and support project closeout activities. Required Qualifications: • 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in a software or technology environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. • Demonstrated experience writing detailed technical and functional requirements for developers. • Intermediate proficiency with Jira, Figma & Asana • Experience working within Agile or iterative development environments. • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. • Ability to define acceptance criteria and measurable success metrics. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment. • Detailed understanding of Project Management and Development Lifecycles Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working with SaaS products or digital platforms. • Familiarity with UX/UI collaboration and design artifacts. • Experience supporting QA, UAT, or validation processes. • Strong love and passion for film!
