Job Description
Position Summary:
J.Jill is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst / Scrum Master to join our Financial Systems team. This hybrid role is ideal for a professional who thrives in both analytical and agile environments. You will lead small to mid-sized projects, facilitate agile ceremonies, and work closely with stakeholders to enhance and support our financial systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis with hands-on experience in agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analyst (60%)
β’ Collaborate with finance, accounting, and IT stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
β’ Lead the design and implementation of enhancements to financial systems (e.g., ERP, budgeting, reporting tools).
β’ Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
β’ Manage and groom the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business goals.
β’ Work through Jira to triage, track, and resolve system defects and enhancement requests.
β’ Support UAT planning, execution, and documentation.
β’ Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Scrum Master (40%)
β’ Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews for one or more agile teams.
β’ Coach team members on agile best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
β’ Remove impediments and shield the team from external distractions.
β’ Track and report on sprint metrics and team performance.
β’ Coordinate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
β’ 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial systems.
β’ 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a hybrid BA/SM role.
