Technical Business Analyst - Local to Columbus Only

Integration Systems Analyst / Technical Business Analyst Columbus, OH (Hybrid – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite) 5+ Months Role Overview We are seeking a Techno-Functional Integration Systems Analyst to support a critical integration workstream within Store Applications. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, QA, and external vendors to design, validate, and troubleshoot system integrations. The team currently consists of 1 System Analyst and 1 Developer. Upcoming initiatives include fraud implementation and additional integration-focused projects. Local Columbus candidates are strongly preferred for in-person interviews. Remote candidates may be considered if no suitable local candidates are identified. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business and technical teams to design and document system integrations. Analyze and validate API contracts (REST/SOAP), payload mappings (JSON/XML), and integration workflows. Troubleshoot integration defects by analyzing request/response logs and identifying root causes. Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications. Lead defect triage during SIT and UAT; coordinate cross-team resolution. Ensure data consistency and integrity across interconnected systems. Support production issue analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate with vendor tools and external partners. Create call agendas, lead discussions, and prioritize issues effectively. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience as an Integration Systems Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in integration-heavy environments. Strong understanding of REST and SOAP APIs. Hands-on experience with JSON and XML payloads. Experience using Postman or similar API testing tools. Ability to debug integration issues at the payload level. Experience working across business, engineering, QA, and external vendors. Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodology. Extensive knowledge of JIRA (required). Familiarity with Confluence and version control tools (e.g., Git). Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
