Technical Business Analyst – Mortgage Systems
Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Month contract
Pay: $70/hr W2 ONLY, NO C2C
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst with strong experience in Residential Mortgage systems and FNMA (Fannie Mae) standards to support complex initiatives across financial services platforms. This role serves as a critical liaison between business stakeholders, upstream data providers, and downstream consumer-facing teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, technically sound, and delivered with precision.
Key Responsibilities
• Elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements related to residential mortgage and FNMA-driven initiatives.
• Serve as a bridge between upstream data providers and downstream consumer-facing teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and data integrity.
• Translate complex mortgage business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Support project management activities, including planning, dependency tracking, and delivery coordination.
• Partner with product owners, developers, and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery.
• Use SQL to analyze data, validate requirements, and support issue resolution.
• Track work, requirements, and progress using Jira and maintain documentation in Confluence.
• Communicate status, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Support testing efforts by reviewing test cases, validating outcomes, and ensuring business requirements are met.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and delivery practices.
Required Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within Residential Mortgage or financial services environments.
• Strong knowledge of FNMA (Fannie Mae) standards, data, and processes.
• Experience working with investment banking or financial products.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Scrum teams.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Hands-on experience using SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Strong project coordination or project management experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
