Role description
Technical Business Analyst - Contract Location: Belfast - 3 days onsite Rate: £300-£400/day (via Umbrella) Duration: Initial 6 months (extensions highly likely) Join a high-performing transformation team within a global financial institution, delivering critical regulatory and cross-business change initiatives for the Markets division. About the Role: You'll work as a key member of the Markets Program Execution & Transformation - Data Acquisition team, focused on analysing, delivering and supporting complex data solutions across multiple regulatory and discretionary projects. Key Responsibilities: • Write and run SQL queries to analyse and reconcile data across systems • Evaluate complex data and logic across high-impact regulatory initiatives • Liaise with business users to ensure requirements are well understood and translated into technical solutions • Develop documentation (BRDs, FRDs, test cases) and support UAT cycles • Maintain quality control and ensure data integrity before stakeholder reporting • Manage and coordinate tasks and milestones across multiple workstreams • Identify and escalate project risks where needed Skills & Experience Required: • 5+ years as a Business Analyst in complex environments • Advanced SQL and Excel capabilities for data interrogation • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills • Clear communicator, able to bridge business and technical teams • Experience working independently in fast-paced project environments Preferred Experience: • Background in investment banking or financial services • Familiarity with data visualisation tools • Python scripting experience to automate processes This is a great opportunity to contribute to business-critical regulatory change in a global, dynamic environment.
