Technical Business Analyst (Data) – Contract Duration: 6 months IR35: Inside IR35 Rate: £500/day Location: York / Hybrid (1 day per week on site) WRK digital is excited to partner with a well-known and trusted UK organisation who are undergoing a significant data transformation, having implemented a modern, intelligent data platform built on AWS. As part of this journey, they are migrating away from locally developed, low-code data pipelines to a centrally governed, cloud-based solution. They are seeking a Technical Business Analyst / Data Analyst with strong Alteryx experience to work closely with business users to deconstruct existing pipelines, document business processes and data flows, and translate these into clear requirements for engineers to rebuild within AWS. This is a highly collaborative, stakeholder-facing role within an Agile squad, using tools such as Jira to manage delivery. Key Responsibilities • Gather, analyse and translate complex data requirements into clear technical specifications • Work closely with stakeholders to document business processes and data flows • Support data engineering and platform teams in delivering scalable, high-quality solutions • Act as a bridge between business needs and technical implementation • Contribute to solution design aligned with data strategy Essential Skills & Experience • Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst on data-focused initiatives • Strong AWS knowledge (e.g. S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda) • Hands-on experience with Alteryx (data prep, automation, workflows) • Solid understanding of data modelling and ETL/ELT processes • Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable • Experience with large-scale data transformation or cloud migration programmes • Exposure to modern BI, analytics or data governance tools
